471 (Useful Machines of Texas)

 

I made it to Texas, where I'm currently spending my days shuffling from darkened auditorium to darkened auditorium in order to get the greatest possible return on my investment in a second-half Fantastic Fest badge.  I think, however, that this robot may have been worth the trip* which means I'm all set.

*not really, that would be ridiculous.

470 (Cowboy Bots at Cowboy Bars)

What's up America, I've been away for awhile.  Right now I'm in Oklahoma, near to where I used to live.  This is a robot cowboy, but not like the one from Westworld.  Also there aren't any robot cowboys in Oklahoma to my knowledge, but some people do wear cowboy hats, especially at the State Fair, which I went to.  Where I ate this.

Anyway, tomorrow it's onward to Texas, so I figure I'll see you when I see you.

ROBOT MASTER POSTERS!

These are a long, long time coming you guys.  I started making designs out of the Robot Masters from Mega Man 2 back in June (if you'll recall).  I made the first of them - Air Man, while sitting on a couch in a living room in Los Angeles.  I finished the last of these on Wednesday - Flash Man, pictured below.  Now that all these are done they're available as AWESOME POSTERS from my Etsy shop!  You can get a complete set for $50 (less if you use the VERY OBVIOUS COUPON CODE in the shop's header image) or you can get a set of 4 (your choice) or just a single one (again, your choice).  I'm really proud of these designs, and I hope you like them, whether or not you - like me - are a gamer fixated on a character that's nearly as old as he is (I've got one year on Mega Man, you guys).  Also, I'd really love it if some folks purchased'em.

Additionally, I'd like to apologize for how little I've been updating lately, especially on this site.  I've been paying too much attention to the Tumblr side of things, and as a result this page has suffered.  I'm considering merging the two into one entity, (in which case Tumblr would trump Blogspot since I've many, many more followers there than I do here), but am not really in the mood to make any big changes just yet.

466 (Heat Man)

Now Available at RedBubble - My Heat Man shirt design!  It takes a special kind of mad scientist to whip up a Zippo-shaped robot, and unfortunately for Mega Man that's exactly what Dr. Wily unleashed upon the world with Heat Man, the funny-faced firebrand from Mega Man II.  Now you can get a shirt with his likeness burned into it!  And while Heat Man doesn't withstand bubbles well, washing this shirt after wearing it on a hot day is still recommended.
