A quick note to let you know that these 3 posters are availalbe as a set for only $20! "Miles, is this because nobody ever buys them, even though you think they're really good?" YES, it is partly that. Also, you can probably find some Other Deals on robot stuff if you Look Around.

446 (Marvin the Paranoid Android)
Today was Towel Day, which - for the uninitiated few - commemorates the life and work of Douglas Adams. Here's how I celebrated: Making a Marvin poster that's for sale on Etsy.
Yesterday I didn't post a robot, but videogame enthusiasts might appreciate what I spent my time designing - check it out Here.

445 (Robocop Painting
Here's a painting of Robocop I did with acrylic and India ink. I remember, when I was a little kid, my older brother would play the original Robocop games for the NES. You guys, it is nuts that they used to make videogames targeted to children that were adaptations of R-rated movies. When I say "nuts" I mean "awesome."
Anyway, this painting is for sale for $15 at Etsy. I'd buy that for a dollar (and fourteen other dollars).

443 (Atlas)
If you're the sort who follows my various robot-related internet presences you may have seen this in-progress picture of something I'm (still) working on. It's the robot Atlas from [A Popular, Recently-Released video game]. I was, however, having a lot of trouble illustrating him digitally. I had a ton of reference images, but I still couldn't get him to fit together properly. I decided, in order to get more comfortable with how this (excellently designed, super awesome looking) robot fit together, I'd paint him and his gangly counterpart P-Body. So, here's how Atlas turned out. I'll post the P-Body painting tomorrow, but if you're desperate to see how he looks as well you can check them out at my Etsy and purchase these guys as a framed set (complete with hand-painted matting that I am extremely proud of).

Product Placement
I received this Mug today, because I ordered it and then it arrived. It's great (to the point that it will be - PREDICTION - the only vessel from which I drink for about a week). Because I had a free afternoon at home I somehow wound up making this. You will have to click it to view the full resolution in order to make any sense of it. This...this is a lot to ask - I know.
What's that, you like Mega Man as well? Maybe you should check this out...

442 (HONORARY ROBOT: Patrick)
This guy lost the use of his hand and opted to have it amputated and replaced with a BIONIC HAND that he controls EFFECTIVELY using impulses from his brain. I did not realize prosthetics had gotten this awesome already. Click Here for the story as well as videos, and click here for (fake) information about THE INHERENT DANGER of this sort of thing.

Good News, Chap(book)s!
Awhile ago David Tomaloff contacted me about using an image I made as art for a chapbook of his. It appears that this is actually happening - NAP is going to put out Mr DT’s book, and if you scroll down a little bit through this post at their blog you can see the cover I contributed. Did I mention that it’s an excellent read? Now I have.

441 (A Battery Bot)
This is an original drawing by Kent Archer (who I now plan on watching warily at all times since he and I seem to be occupying a similar niche in the internet’s ecosystem, and I’ve taken enough biology classes to know how that ends) that the ever-thoughtful Film Forager bought for me at a nerd event for nerds. It is sitting next to a lamp I made that you could own, if you really wanted to.

440 (GIGANTOOOOR or Tetsujin 28, if you prefer)
This is GIGANTOR, you know - from the 60's? Remember? I don't. Remember the 60's that is. I do remember that Gigantor had an amazing theme song in America. I also remember the link to it on youtube...

439 (The Showman)
This is a drawing, which makes it a kind of novelty, if you've been reading this website lately. It's for sale at Etsy for $20 along with a few other originals, in an effort to diminish the overhead of travelling to Seattle for the Happy Go Techy Expo that I mentioned yesterday. In other news, it's raining.

PLEASE READ, KIND OF EXCITING NEWS
ATTENTION HUMANS: Next month I will be attending the HAPPY GO TECHY EXPO, where I will be sitting at a table full of POSTERS AND ART AND STUFF in the hopes that you, the people of the internet, more specifically the people of the internet of THE GREATER SEATTLE AREA would like to own some of my POSTERS AND ART AND STUFF and also see the RECLUSIVE WEIRDO WHO MAKES THEM.
DID YOU KNOW that this will be one of the only times in the history of the universe that I will WILLINGLY be at a location where people I DON'T EVEN KNOW are encouraged to come up to me and start CONVERSATIONS? It is UNPRECEDENTED.
If you are in the GREATER SEATTLE AREA or are in need of an excuse to go to SEATTLE I would recommend this event, for reasons I have already made abundantly clear.
This also seems like a good time to say "hey, if you were thinking about buying something on etsy, now would be a really helpful time for you to do so," because the plane ticket and vendor registration fee were a lot for a Regular Guy like me, and I am TERRIFIED that I will not sell a single item at this thing because WORRY is the natural state of my brain. Look forward to hearing pleas like this pretty regularly in the coming weeks SORRY.

Some News, to be followed by More News Later On
First of all, get a load of what I picked up from the printhouse today:
This is a quick update to let you know that these star wars posters that you’re all dead sick of hearing about will continue to be only $10 for a little while longer. I sort of need to make some sales, because it looks like I am about to be unemployed for a month or so (I work at a university library, and my job is an Academic Year position, which means that when the school year runs out - next week - I’m also out).
That's part of it, there is additional, more exciting (personally) news that I will share when I have done a good job writing about it. It's not that exciting. It's just kind of cool. Let's just call it 'sort of cool news' so we don't get sued by some website.
Second of all, please read this little paragraph that originally appeared over at the tumblr, which I do not expect you to look at if you already look at this website with any regularity, or if you are over the age of 28.

Works in Progress
Sorry I've been so unreliable update-wise - I explained about it over here, but didn't bother to cross-post said explanation. Oh well, here is an R2-D2 poster that I am working on
