386 (part one)
This piece is the first in a triptych. I am hesitant to use the word Triptych because I feel like only people who command a certain artistic influence are allowed to make triptychs. It's a painting, which isn't my strong suit (but maybe this looks alright?) and eventually the finished triptych (how many times am I going to use this word?) will be on Etsy (Hey, I wonder if other stuff is for sale there too?), in case you're looking at this and thinking "oh man, I gotta have this," and it's ok, I know you're not thinking that. I realize that on its own, it might not be immediately apparent what this piece is. Here is a hint.
Here is a photo of the piece, rather than a scanned image.

The Terrors of Tomorrow, Today!
Here's yesterday's robot, complete with text. The Russian literally reads "The terrors of a future day, already today." Now that it's finished, it's on Etsy, remember to use that coupon before the end of the year.
Many thanks to Shira for doing the translation.

385 (Привет!)
I plan on adding text to this, Russian text. As it happens, I do not speak Russian, nor do I personally know anyone who does (prove me wrong folks). Someone will help me with this, and then I will turn it into a poster or postcard, and maybe I'll tell you what the text means, when it appears. Also, not to bug the shit out of you like every commercial on TV, but you can still get Robot Stuff from my Etsy for 15% off if you use the coupon code BOTHOLIDAY10 anytime between now and New Year's Day. I am trying to break my most sales-per-month record, I figure I've still got 4 or 5 days...
384 (What Robot Did I Get For Christmas?)
This is an ice cube. I got an ice cube tray for Christmas, that makes robot-ice-cubes. I got other things too, but they weren't robotic enough to be on this blog. the end.

383 (What Came in the Mail a Few Days Ago?)
This did:
It showed up completely without a card or anything, just a note from the Etsy seller an (I assume elderly) woman from Georgia, who I guess somehow thought of jamming vacuum tubes into old tins and calling them robots BEFORE I DID, which makes me Upset. Rest assured, you will see "tins with stuff jammed into them until they can be called robots" sometime in 2011, that is a PROMISE and you will LOVE THEM and that is a FACT and I will sell way more of them on Etsy than some woman from Georgia (sorry, women of Georgia). Anyway, it turns out it was a gift from This Guy, to commemorate a made-up holiday we co-founded.

382 (Revisiting)
I liked yesterday's robot, but it was hurried, and incomplete. Here it is again, with a little more work devoted to it.

Ultimately, you can't let any of that crap get you down. Just keep your head up, and keep walking, y'know? I mean, take me for instance. I remember when this used to be a really busy neighborhood. I was pretty new in those days, "Fresh off the line" they called us. And it was good, doing the odd chore here and there. Most of the job was walking, y'know, from house to house, offering my services. "Oh you're so strong!" they'd say. I didn't care much at the time, but it started to feeling nice though. And then the war came, and everyone signed up 'cept for the old folks and kids, which meant more work to do, and I didn't mind. I like kids. They used to call me big blue. Then the kids got bigger, but there was still the war, so they went off, and there weren't as many kids around, and well . . . I dunno, I guess the neighborhood kinda emptied out. So I started walking around the city, see where else I could help, and there were some old folks who couldn't really do much for themselves so I helped out there. And then they got up there some more and started dying out . . . But y'know, it wouldn't do any good to walk away. I mean, they could come back any day now. Any day. Just gotta keep your head down, keep walking, y'know?

379 (nothing to see here)
this took a second. there seems to be a lot going on. If you want to order anything from Etsy and get it by Christmas, do it by the end of the day tomorrow, I will be sending stuff out on Monday and then that's it for awhile.

378 (Complete the Set)
Here is the last paint-splattery-robot-on-old-technical-art you'll see for awhile, because really, come on. It's a fire-engine-red Robot Lilliput, which means that I think it's awesome. It's on Etsy as part of a 3-pack featuring the robots from the past couple days, so if you like these better than the original 3 you should be pleased, unless you already have the original 3, in which case you're probably FURIOUS with early-adopter-remorse. I have plans to compensate for this, though.

NEW! Daily Robot Postcards!
Hey! If you have ever wanted to send a postcard with a robot on it, boy do I have good news for you (and also some bad news: the bad news is you have too-specific wants). The good news is now you can satisfy at least one of those wants. 3 designs! Available in singles or a pack of 6! You will finally be happy! Get them from Etsy in time for Christmas!

377 (Painted Purple)
Another day, another robot! I'm getting pretty enthusiastic about doing more of these old-robot-toys-turned-paintsplatter affairs. This one is available now on Etsy individually, just like yesterday's. You can still order stuff from Etsy and it'll get to you by Christmas, but I don't know how much longer that will continue to be true. Let's say Friday? Yeah, Friday. Also, you've seen this robot before, but God knows I'm not going to dig up that link. It's on a shirt though, in its previous form.

375 (Autobiographical)
This is what I would have looked like tonight were I a robot, as I walked 2 miles to a place and 2 miles back, in a very cold environment.

373 (Miniaturizations, another Postcard)
If this looks familiar it's because you've seen it before. I did a painting very similar to this one, only much larger (this one is only 4"x6") a couple years ago. Tonight I tried to find the sketchbook I know that it's in, and failed, so I painted another one. It's for sale on etsy!

372 (Reimaginings)
A long time ago, at around the same time I drew that robot waiting for a bus, I did this:
So, I needed to paint one more painting for a patron (can I say that?) who commissioned work from me, and I decided to draw/steal/re-imagine the above:
I'm very happy with this, right now, as I type. I have another painting for sale, on a canvas, if you'd forgotten, or never knew.

371 (Football?!)
WAIT. Let me explain. I have this friend, and she loves football. Specifically, she loves the Colts. It was her birthday yesterday, and a mutual friend suggested this as a present for her. Listen: I promise not to talk about football on this site for at least another forever, because that is what you've come to expect and I respect that.

370 (Extremely Old)
This robot is not new, at all I drew this before this site existed (about two weeks before, if memory serves). I am putting it up here now because 1) I just remembered it exists, 2) I was looking through the very first robots I did on this site (why don't you?), and 3) I spent a lot of time yesterday and today working on a robot-related piece that I can't share yet (and which possibly will remain off-blog, if only because it is too weird/hard to explain). There you have it.
If I'm wrong and this has been here, Let me Know and I'll replace it with something equally antiquated.
