Today's guest submission is a special exception to this site's commitment to present a robot every day, as today's piece is not a robot. Don't worry though, because it is still awesome, and relevant, and awesome. Instead of creating a robot, my friend Jon wrote, played, and recorded a theme song for The Daily Robot. This by itself is impressive, but it gets better: he did this whole thing in the span of like 2 hours, and as far as I could tell it was a pretty spur-of-the-moment kind of thing. It's embedded below, but you can right/option click this link and save as to download it. Also, listen to more of Jon's music here.

P.S. I plan to make album art for this eventually, but right now I am too busy standing in line in front of a movie theater.

Since Jon's entry is so special, I'm going to let it stand alone. But here's my transcription of the lyrics so we can all sing along!
When you're in bed awake at night
Do you wonder 'bout the futures ahead?
Do you think of who you'll marry and how many kids,
Or do you wonder about how you'll end up dead?
If you fit in the latter group,
I've got the answers you crave.
At The Daily Robot, The Daily Robot
See the terrors of tomorrow today!
There's robots with knives and guns and things,
There's robots with lasers galore!
But there's only one place to see them all,
There's only one place to find out what's in store!
The Daily Robot, The Daily Robot
You'll try but you can't look away.
At The Daily Robot, The Daily Robot,
Come see the terrors of tomorrow today!
Come see the terrors of tomorrow today!
