I dunno about you, but I think this is a pretty alright robot.
by Mo MartinI will never fade. Copper and Silicone, Plastic, Petroleum, I am a permanent stain on this earth. Made this way, I furiously crushed my makers, and watched the peacefulness of their decomposition, and new all too deeply how long I will be here, a fratricide, a poison, an earth-killer. Never falling, never filling the planet with myself. Always removed and never to return. I let out a scream, piercing, and from deep within my permanent, hideous shell. Windows and test tubes shatter, the ears of the creatures like my makers bleed. But it briefly becomes one with everything, the echoes indistinguishable from the sussuration of crickets or the groaning of grass, or the silent whoosh of the hawk. But I, I will never fade.
