He had walked in the desert for as long as he could remember, and he had massive memory capabilities. For years, decades, it had only been the featureless undulation of the dunes. Eventually, he telescopically focused on a sparkle in the distance. It took him months to reach it, although he knew it was a watch for about ten days before arriving at it. He stood with it in his hand for days, contemplating it, it's workings, and most of all, who could have made it? He couldn't possibly assume that it had simply appeared in the desert, could he? Who was the Watchmaker?
